Level 2 Energy Audit Completed for Denver-Boulder Area Applicants

The RAN-RM team is pleased to announce that Level II Energy Audits for applicants in the Denver-Boulder Area are now complete. University of Colorado students enrolled in the  Building Energy Audits class (AREN4040/5020), conducted site-visits and field tests to complete energy audit reports for 12 applicants located in Denver-Boulder Area, 50% of the applicants selected to receive Level II Energy Audits. Students presented their test results and recommended energy efficiency measures to facility points of contact to receive feedback on their findings. Additionally, the Level II Energy Audit Reports generated by the students were evaluated by RAN-RM industry partners to receive professional feedback. This work is part of RAN-RM program’s effort to train future energy auditors.

Starting the first week of May, the RAN-RM team will reach out to applicants outside of the Denver-Boulder Area to schedule site visits and conduct Level II Energy Audits for these applicants. This will be followed by presentations of the results the RAN-RM team.

Once Level II Energy Audits are completed for the 23 facilities, 12-18 applicants will be selected to receive funding for retrofits and, after US Department of Energy approval, proceed to the Retrofit Implementation Phase (i.e., becoming retrofit subrecipients).

If you were selected for Level I Energy Audit but have not heard back from us regarding the status of your application, please contact our team at [email protected].

We have also started accepting applications for preliminary energy assessments for the second cycle of the program. New applicants can submit their application by going to https://ranrm.com/apply_now/ and selecting “Apply for a Preliminary Energy Analysis Here (Google Form Link).”
