RAN-RM Program Impact

The Renew America’s Nonprofits – Rocky Mountain Region (RAN-RM) program will provide prescreening energy assessments, energy audits, and measurement and verification evaluations for facilities owned and operated by nonprofit organizations located in the Rocky Mountain region including Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Utah, and Wyoming. Moreover, RAN-RM will award funds for implementing retrofit projects after Department of Energy (DOE) approval.  Refer to the specific criteria for nonprofit organizations below to be eligible for RAN-RM program.

RAN-RM Goals

Our Program Highlights

Nonprofits Upgraded Annually
Facilitating energy efficiency upgrades for up to 36 nonprofit facilities across the Rocky Mountain Region: Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, and Utah.

Energy Reduction Goal
Committing to at least 25% annual reduction in energy use, energy costs, and carbon emissions validated through Measurement & Verification analysis.

Community Outreach and Inclusion
Targeting 100-140 facilities to receive preliminary energy assessments and ensuring 25% of retrofit recipients serve disadvantaged communities, supporting broader inclusion under the Justice 40 initiative.

Funding Available
The RAN-RM program will leverage Department of Energy funding and other cost-share funds and incentives to provide $20,000-$200,000 per subrecipient facility in retrofit upgrades.

Technical Assistance and Training
Providing comprehensive technical assistance and training to all participants, aiming to significantly reduce their energy usage, costs, and carbon footprint.

Educational Programs
Offering two types of training programs focused on maintaining energy-efficient buildings and equipping the next generation of professionals in energy efficiency.
